Pop Up Store

Many brands in the city of Seoul carry out promotions to introduce new products by opening pop-up stores which are held temporarily in busy areas such as city centers, malls or big roads. How do you find out information about existing pop-up stores? by looking for information through social media such as the eyopkr account on Instagram.

Visiting a pop-up store has its own excitement, for example by taking stylish photos with friends at existing art installations or sculptures, or taking photos in photo boxes, or trying new products on display, and showing them off on social media. Several pop up stores that sell high demand products because of trends or because artists are brand ambassadors will definitely create long queues of interested visitors. Even to get limited products, they are willing to queue for hours.

An example of a pop-up store that I have visited is the illustrator lifestyle brand at The Hyundai Sinchon which always changes every week. The brand that is most popular with visitors is cartoon products from Chiikawa, this Japanese cartoon with hamster and rabbit characters causes people to queue from morning until 9 pm.
