Red Rocks State Park

A trip my family and I once took was to visit Red Rocks State Park in Sedona, a wilderness town near Flagstaff surrounded by red rocks, steep canyon walls, and pine forests. This area is famous for hiking and picnic lovers because of its natural beauty. Sedona is in the state of Arizona, a state in Western America which is famous for its natural beauty such as rivers, mountains, pine tree forests, lakes, beaches and deserts. We can enjoy a combination of various natural destinations while learning about history in several cities such as Sedona, Tuscon, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, and Prescott.

This National Park is famous for its beautiful red rock views. Visitors who come can choose several different climbing routes or choose a place to camp. When my family and I arrived, we hiked for approximately 3 hours and passed several photo areas including Red Rock crossing park or Crescent Moon Recreation area where the area is sloping and comfortable for sitting or having a picnic, and you can also try crossing the river on stone steps. natural stone, while testing our body's balance.

If you like challenges, exercise, and are not afraid of heights, then the Devil's Bridge Trail is a good hiking area to try. By walking through an uphill mountain area for approximately 1 and a half hours, at the top of the climb you can walk on a narrow cliff with a stunning mountain background and pose for cool photos. For some reason, when I saw the photo area, I felt afraid and couldn't bring myself to walk there. Maybe because I saw several tourists doing photo poses sitting casually in the extreme area, namely at the edge of the cliff. Finally I decided to just sit and take pictures of my sister and cousin posing for a few minutes.

Apart from the peak of the Devil's Bridge Trail, an area that is no less beautiful is this red rock which is located in the middle of the journey along the hiking trail. The texture of the rocks, which have irregular horizontal stripes and are naturally formed by nature, with a bright orange-red color, are very suitable for capturing in photos. After taking fun photos, we can sit for a moment to rest and enjoy the view of the cliffs before continuing our journey to Devil's Bridge.

Due to its architectural beauty and placement on red rock, the Chapel of the Holy Cross is the No. 1 tourist destination in Sedona. The building was inspired and funded by local sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude in 1932 with inspiration from the Empire State building in New York. By Richard Hein as architect and August K. Strotz as designer, this chapel was built on Coconino National Forest Land over 18 months at a cost of $300,000. When visiting this Chapel, we can take photos outside and inside the building. Inside we can take photos with the statue of Jesus on the cross facing the glass window. Apart from that, the church is surrounded by beautiful red rock mountains, don't forget to take photos at some of your favorite spots like the ones below.

Below are examples of accommodations I have tried in the Sedona area. This Airbnb was chosen because at that time our group consisted of 7 people, so we needed a place to stay that had at least 3 rooms with comfortable facilities and privacy. This Airbnb has 2 floors, with beautiful views from the terrace on the 2nd floor. We stayed 1 night here to rest after a day exploring Red Rocks National Parks.
